Delta-8 THC Seltzer – A New Revolutionary Drink

The newest cannabinoid to capture headlines and fill our IG feeds is Delta-8 THC. Unlike its close counterpart Delta-9 THC, D8 is 100% legal in the United States. Cannabis enthusiasts are raving about the hemp-derived molecule because it has similar benefits and effects as the THC that makes up marijuana products, without the intense side-effects.

Another recent phenomenon is the adoption of seltzer water. Whether it is paired with natural flavors or alcohol seltzer drinks have seemingly taken over a huge chunk of the beverage market overnight.

At D8 Seltzer™ we believe everyone should have legal access to all cannabinoids derived from the cannabis plant. While this is the will of the people, it isn’t a reality for too many Americans. We also believe in healthy cannabinoid delivery methods. D8 seltzer™ combines the hottest cannabinoid with a healthy, tasty beverage to create a revolutionary new product.

How Does Delta-8 THC Work?

Much of the excitement around D8 is related to its effects that are closely related to THC. Users see D8 as a way to get the effects legally or without going to a dispensary. We view D8 as the most revolutionary cannabinoid today because of its ability to directly bind with CB2 receptors.

Both D8 and D9 have the affinity to bind with CB1 receptors in the brain and CB2 receptors throughout the body but are primarily located in the digestive system. The federally illegal form of THC binds with CB1 receptors in the brain creating a flood of dopamine and serotonin but doesn’t interact with CB2 receptors as prominently. Delta-8 works inversely. Giving users the benefits created by directly interacting with receptors throughout the body, without the intense CB1 interaction in the brain. Users report a clear head without paranoia and anxiety after using Delta-8 THC products.

Is Delta-8 Legal?

Cannabis laws in general are anything but clear. Delta-8 THC was made legal along with CBD and all other cannabinoids, excluding D9 THC, in the groundbreaking 2018 ‘Farm Bill.’ The bill clearly states that all cannabis products containing 0.3% D9 THC or less are federally legal. Because the ‘Farm Bill’ specifically states ‘Delta 9,’ meaning that all other cannabinoids are legal to trade and consume in the United States, including D8 THC.

The FDA recently revised their statements on the definition of hemp causing concern for users taking advantage of the benefits of D8. Their statement excludes all synthetically created cannabinoids from the protection of the ‘Farm Bill.’ Because Delta-8 THC can be created by modifying CBD isolate, many were concerned that the FDA was referring to D8. We are confident that the statements made by the FDA are regarding synthetic cannabinoids like ‘K2’ and ‘spice’ that aren’t derived from hemp. Synthetic CBD has also made an appearance in the legal USA market raising concerns about the manufacturing process.

We expect the FDA to comment directly on Delta-8 THC in the future, but for now, they 100% respect the regulations regarding hemp set in 2018 by the ‘Farm Bill.’

D8 Seltzer™ - A Match Made in Millennial Heaven

Making healthy choices is more apparent than ever. Millennials concerned about consuming sugary drinks have disrupted the entire beverage market. They want the bubbles without the calories or sugar associated with soda and juice.

The cannabis market is shifting in this direction as well. Consumers want the relaxing, anti-inflammatory aspects of cannabis without getting high out of their minds. The CBD boom proves that the ‘high’ associated with cannabis may not be the #1 attracting factor of the plant, and CBD doesn't even bind with CB1 or CB2 receptors.

D8 Seltzer™ gives users the relaxing aspects of cannabis without bombarding CB1 receptors causing negative side-effects. Available in a safe delivery method with only five calories.
